Two Friends Who Share a
Love for Life

When we put our heads (and hearts) together, magic happens.

Meet Jess & Catherina

We’re Happy You’re Here

An online marketer (with an obsession for Pinterest) together with a graphic designer who dreams up the most delicious events.

Both love to cook. Both love to host.
And now both are falling in love with blogging.

Catherina

I have always loved having guests in my home. Whether barbecuing in the sunshine or curled up with a warm bowl of homemade soup, I’m happiest surrounded by loved ones. I love taking care of those I care about, and that often involves cooking.

As much as I love being in my home, I also can’t live without travel, adventure and the outdoors. Backpacking, skiing, scuba diving, rock climbing are just few activities that get me excited. I love sharing my passions, experience and humor.

I am so grateful to be married to the most thoughtful and brilliant man I have ever met. Together we share love, laughter and an spunky pup, Cloe. I am also fortunate to be surrounded by inspirational family, friends and in-laws who never cease to amaze and motivate me to follow my heart. I would say that my heart is full… However, there’s plenty of room for creating many more delicious memories.

Welcome to our website, our homes and our circle of loved ones. And be aware – I’m a hugger. ox

Jessica

I collect cookbooks, shoes, and domain names. Mushrooms and I don’t quite see eye to eye. My tiramisu takes hours to make and is for adults 21+. The quickest way to win my heart is through a bowl of Carbonara. I prefer chocolate on the dark side. The one ingredient I can’t live without is Kerrygold. Which fancy cheese do I melt into my scrambled eggs? American (shh, don’t tell anyone).

Our home is full of boys with my husband, son, and pup; countless piles of “important” stuff (I’m a self-diagnosed horizontal filer #sorrynotsorry); and various toys hiding under furniture (the dog officially has more toys than our 4-year-old).

After a decade of freelancing as a graphic designer, I’ve realized that I have more to offer the world than pretty logos. Bringing people together—for any occasion—is my deepest passion in life.

I cook, because I need to. I plan + host events, because I want to. Now I’m writing about food as a way to cultivate togetherness + belonging, because I love it.

. . . And we always need food and belonging.

About This Site

A Taste for Living is designed to inspire you—and your loved ones—to come together for more than a delicious meal. Food is way to give and receive love. The meal brings you together, but the company keeps you together.

More than a food blog, our site will provide creative event ideas from the casual get-together to a grand gathering. Events, parties, celebrations . . . humans are social creatures, and the world is craving more connection.

We are redefining the everyday host, breaking down barriers of perfectionism, and creating delicious memories.
